This gauge pack from VDO is actually available as a dealer installed option. However, I didn't get it when I bought the car. With the GPS navigation system, the standard (huge) speedometer is relocated to the steering column next to the tachometer, and is of matching size. This smaller speedometer doesn't have the water temp gauge that is in the standard speedometer, just the "over" temp lamp. Having done some drivetrain modifications & just driving the car harder over all, I wanted a better indication of engine temperature to ensure not running at wide open throttle before the engine was at operating temp. A water temp gauge, while not being a reading of engine temp, would have been enough. Not having that, I went with this. I wasn't really interested in the voltmeter, but it was part of the package. I'd be better off with oil pressure or water temp in place of the voltmeter, but this will do for now. This is something I did not install myself.

This shifter from B&M has a 30% shorter throw than the factory one. What's nifty about the B&M shifter is it comes with aluminum bushings that replace the factory rubber ones. This provides a much more solid shifter feel, eliminating the slop felt in the stock setup. Shifting is faster & more positive with this unit.

CG as is center of gravity. The CG-Lock bolts to the tongue the factory seat belt. It locks the lap belt portion of the 3-point seat belt, while allowing the shoulder belt to remain moveable. This device is amazing. It has got to be the best thing short of a 4-point harness. It keeps the lap belt from loosening up and absolutely keeps you in place. No more having to use your knees or legs to brace yourself in your seat on turns at speed. You can take tight turns with a light touch on the steering wheel & on the pedals. It can be easily enabled and disabled. I now drive with it enabled at all times. It does not interfere with normal operation of the seat belt. I would highly recommend this gadget if you find yourself slipping around in your seat when taking turns. With the CG-Lock, you don't have to grip the steering wheel to keep yourself in place. You just steer.
